Hi,

(w)rote is a public notebook.

My name is Ashley Okwuosa, and I am a journalist, researcher, and writer. I report about education, immigration, and culture from cities like Lagos, New York, and now Toronto.

As a journalist, I’m never without pen and paper. And as a Black woman, an immigrant, and a human being, there is so much to take note of. (w)rote is an opportunity to do that, in public.

Subscribe for once-a-month musings about life, literature, womanhood, and occasionally, journalism. My professional, on-the-record stuff is at ashleyokwuosa.com.
